Details: On 12/12/2011 at approximately 4 pm, the defendant Mack and the victim Gilchrist were involved in an argument that led to the defendant intentionally trying to, and succeeding in striking the victim Gilchrist on the left side of her body. She sustained minor injury that was treated on scene.

As a result of this offense, a bolo for the suspect and suspect vehicle was transmitted via radio and copied by Air Service. Air Service established visual contact with the vehicle and subsequently transmitted its path of travel to ground units responding to the area. Units followed the direction of travel given by Air Service and ultimately engaged the vehicle in pursuit when it failed to stop.

Officers pursued the vehicle from the area of Yukon and 22nd Street through Temple Terrance on Bullard Parkway to Highway 301, then to Hillsborough Avenue and ultimately to the area of Lakeshore Drive and Crenshaw (7409 Lakeshore Drive). Upon exiting the vehicle, Mack fled on foot and was apprehended without further incident. There were no crashes or reported injuries as a result of the pursuit.

Subsequent to search after arrest the defendant Mack was found in possession of 112 grams of marijuana and a large sum of cash. The defendant was also found to have several warrants for his arrest to include: aggravated assault w/a weapon, flee and elude, felony HTO, VOP possession cocaine, and VOP dwls.

Probable cause charges include: aggravated battery w/motor vehicle, aggravated fleeing to elude, dwls revoked, and possession marijuana with intent to deliver.
