DETAILS: Plant City Police Department requested TPD’s assistance looking for a stolen vehicle and information on a shooting in their jurisdiction. Patrol and undercover officers saturated the area and found the vehicle. They initiated a vehicle pursuit that ended at 109th Avenue East and 15th Street and the suspect bailed from the car. Air Service tracked the suspect (Stubbins) who was on foot. Officers discovered his cousin was the suspect Plant City Police were looking for (Gordon). They received information that Gordon was in an apartment at 4606 Citrus Circle where he barricaded himself. Two people were taken into custody at the apartment. At that point, Gordon was in the attic and officers had information that he was armed. The Tactical Response Team and Hostage Negotiators responded and a negotiator convinced Gordon to surrender peacefully.
