Tampa Police detectives are searching for a suspect who stole cash registers out of several local businesses. The suspect smashed either the glass door or window to break into eight businesses. He left the scene carrying the whole cash register in most of the burglaries. He only stole money from inside the registers in two of the break-ins. Detectives believe that the alarm scared the suspect away before he could steal anything from Parts House and Elmer's Sports Cafe.
The burglaries occurred between April 26, 2011 and May 21, 2011 during the evening hours. Most of the victimized businesses are located along I-275. Anyone with information is asked to call the Tampa Police Department at 813-231-6130.
