Campers Learn About Florida's Marine Environment

The City of Tampa Parks and Recreation Department is registering children for Mangrove Marcus Adventure Camp, a one-week environmental day camp designed for children who love the outdoors and want to learn about Florida’s marine environment. Campers will snorkel, fish and explore the “wild side” of Florida.

The camp fee is $100 for the week. Children should bring a swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, shoes for wading, lunch and an afternoon snack. Program hours are 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. and before care (7:30 a.m.) and after care (until 6 p.m.) is included in the camp fee. The camp begins and ends its day at Loretta Ingraham Community Center, located at 1611 N. Hubert Avenue.

Camp Dates
June 20 – 24 (ages 8 to 12)
July 18 - 22 (ages 8 to 12)
July 25 - 29 (ages 12 to 14)
