The City of Tampa is pleased to announce we’ve secured the use of the Contractor Central App as well as Civic Insight. The Contractor Central app was created by Accela to empower contractors to easily request and schedule inspections, connect with inspectors, and communicate with their peers on-site using their smart phones. Civic Insight is an interactive online tool for residents, local organizations and businesses to track the status of building permits through the approval process in neighborhoods or other geographic areas such as City Council districts and historic districts via timely email alerts and a user-friendly interface.

“Whether you’re building a new high rise downtown or pulling a permit for a small business in West Tampa, we’re open for business,” said Mayor Buckhorn. “Our city is expanding at a rapid pace and with that we have the responsibility to make the contracts and permitting process as easy as possible. These tools will become a one-stop-shop for those looking to invest in this great city.”
