Tampa, Fla. (November 24, 2015) – When Mayor Buckhorn took office he made a commitment to keep Tampa beautiful by planting at least 1,000 new trees per year he is in office. As of today, and just under five years since he was first elected, the City of Tampa has planted almost 7,000 trees, far exceeding his promise.

“The City of Tampa has a vast expanse of natural beauty and, as Mayor, I made a commitment to increase its reach,” said Mayor Bob Buckhorn. “Our commitment to planting trees not only enriches our daily commute but  provides sanctuary for our diverse wildlife. I look forward to continuing to exceed my commitment and add to Tampa’s greenery.”
