Joint Information Center Media Update

Mayor Bob Buckhorn and Police Chief Jane Castor will hold their final briefing today at 10:30 a.m. in the Mayor’s Conference Room on the 1st Floor of the Tampa Municipal Office Building, located at 306 E. Jackson Street.

Chief Jane Castor, Sheriff David Gee, FBI Special Agent in Charge Steve Ibison, Tampa Fire Rescue Chief Tom Forward and Solid Waste Director Tonja Brickhouse will hold a wrap up public safety news conference today at 11:30 a.m. at Tampa Police Headquarters, 411 N. Franklin Street.

The local lanes of the Selmon Expressway between Willow Avenue (Exit 4) and 50th Street (Exit 11) are now open.

The entire segment of Florida Avenue is open.

All other roads is expected to reopen by noon.

The traffic plan for the roads leading into Harbour Island will remain the same until noon. All check points into Harbour Island is expected to be removed by noon.

Consequence Management Emergency Operations Center
The City of Tampa Consequence Management Emergency Operations Center for the RNC will deactivate on Friday, August 31, at noon.

Joint Information Center
The City of Tampa Joint Information Center will deactivate on August 31, at 9 a.m.

Call Center
The City of Tampa RNC Call Center will close today at noon.
