Reminder: Expect significant delays in downtown Tampa during Monday morning traffic.

Fort Brooke Garage:
If you typically park in the Fort Brooke Garage, security screenings will cause unavoidable delays. Please be patient throughout this process.

Leroy Selmon Expressway:
Closed at 12:30 a.m., Monday, August 27, from 50th Street to Willow Avenue and will remain closed until Friday, August 31 at approximately 5:00 a.m. The Selmon Reversible Elevated Lanes (REL) will remain OPEN during this time to enter downtown Tampa and will operate as normal.

Coalition to March on the RNC is also planning a large midday demonstration and march starting at Perry Harvey Park that may sporadically impact traffic. Tampa Police will send out additional alerts if this prompts unplanned road closures.

Hillsborough Sheriff's Office deputies have changed one of the charges on the man arrested for carrying a machete in Tampa earlier this afternoon.

Upon review, the charge of prohibited items in an event zone was changed to carrying a concealed weapon. The charge of resisting arrest without violence remains the same.
