Unplanned March on Tampa Street

August 27, 2012 (Tampa, FL) -- Demonstrators held an unplanned march getting too close to the secure perimeter, officer blocked the demonstrators at Kennedy Boulevard. The protesters sat down in the middle of the intersection on Kennedy Boulevard for approximately 15 minutes. One of the crowd management commanders kneeled down with the demonstrators and explained that they were blocking the route to the hospital and would be interfering with rush hour traffic. The demonstrators then moved on the sidewalk and left the area. Kennedy Boulevard is reopened for commuters.
