City of Tampa Solid Waste Department Resumes Regular Garbage Collection Service
The City of Tampa Department of Solid Waste and Environmental Program Management will resume regularly scheduled garbage collection service for its residents and businesses. Other services, as outlined below, remain temporarily suspended:
- Residential and Commercial Recycling will remain temporarily suspended until further notice. Recycling that is collected during this time will be processed as garbage at the McKay Bay facility to generate electricity. For more information on our Mckay Bay Refuse-To-Energy Facility, please visit http://bit.ly/2xzqxcD.
- Residential and Commercial Garbage Collection will resumed regularly scheduled service on Monday, September 18, 2017.
- Residential Yard Waste Collection is suspended until further notice.
- Storm Related Debris: The City of Tampa has contracted with Ceres Environmental. Ceres Environmental, hired specifically because of their expertise and specialized equipment, is prepared to collect all types of debris generated by Hurricane Irma. Please be reminded that all storm related debris that does not fit in your blue garbage cart, needs to remain un-bundled, un-bagged and placed at the curb as soon as safely possible. New Tampa residents will be provided storm debris collection service only by Ceres Environmental.
