City of Tampa Solid Waste Department Revises Collection Schedule for the Spring Day Holiday

City of Tampa offices will be closed on Friday, March 25, 2016 in observance of the Spring Day holiday.  As a result, customers scheduled for collection service or, needing access to the McKay Bay Transfer Station on Friday, March 25, 2016 will be affected.  The revised holiday collection schedule is as follows:
 
  • Residential accounts: There will be no collection on Friday, March 25, 2016.  Normal garbage service will resume on the next scheduled service day (Tuesday, March 29, 2016).  Recycling and yard waste collection will resume on Friday, April 1, 2016.
  • Commercial accounts: There will be no collection on Friday, March 25, 2016. A make-up collection day for roll-off, compactor and dumpster customers with service normally scheduled for Friday, March 25, 2016 will occur on Saturday, March 26, 2016.  Normal service schedules will resume on Monday, March 28, 2016.  Service for commercial customers with 95/65 gallon cart service will resume on the next scheduled service day (Tuesday, March 29, 2016).  Recycling collection will resume on Friday, April 1, 2016.
  • McKay Bay Transfer Station and Scale House will be closed on Friday, March 25, 2016 and will re-open on Saturday, March 26, 2016.
