The Children’s Gasparilla Parade steps off at 3:30 p.m. at Bay to Bay Blvd. and Bayshore Blvd., proceeds north along Bayshore and ends at Edison Ave. and Bayshore Blvd. The Children's Gasparilla Parade will broadcast live on FOX 13 and will stream live on  The evening ends with a spectacular fireworks show at 7 p.m.

Traffic is expected to be heavier than normal. Drivers and pedestrians should allow extra travel time and to use caution when in the area.

The City is alerting the public of road closures and towing zones to minimize congestion in neighborhoods that border the parade route. “No Parking” signs will be installed in the neighborhoods west of Bayshore Blvd. and will be in effect beginning Friday, January 18 through Saturday, January 19.  Beginning Friday, January 18 at 2 p.m., streets in the Hyde Park Preservation and Historic Hyde Park neighborhoods will have a temporary one-way traffic plan implemented to accommodate parking and emergency vehicles.

Please Note: Only motorists, with an ID verifying residency, will be allowed access to the neighborhoods after the streets have been closed.
