City of Tampa Transportation Advisory for Saturday, March 26, 2016

Traffic is expected to be heavier than normal on Saturday, March 26th in and around Ybor City due to the Tampa Pride Parade and Festival.  Drivers and pedestrians alike are advised to allow for extra travel time and to travel through the area with caution.
***IMPORTANT: Sections of 21st AND 22nd St. will be down to one lane due to construction. Please take this into consideration when making your travel and parking plans. 

The festival begins at 10 a.m. and the parade begins at 1 p.m. Street closures around Ybor City begin at 5 a.m.  The following roads will be affected:

5 a.m.
8th Ave (from 17th to 21st)
18th St (from 7th Ave to Palm Ave)
19th St (from 7th Ave to Palm Ave)
8 a.m.
Nuccio Parkway (from Nebraska Ave to Palm Ave)
Seventh Ave (from Scott St to Nuccio Parkway)
10 a.m.
Seventh Ave (from Nuccio Parkway St to 21st St)
City of Tampa Parking Information for Saturday, March 12
  • Centro Ybor Garage (1500 E 5th Ave) Beginning at 8:30 a.m. the rate will be a flat rate of $5.00 paid on entry.
  • Palm Ave Garage (2010 N 13th St) Beginning at 8:30 a.m. the rate will be a flat rate of $5.00 paid on entry. (Recommended)
  • Lots 5 and 6 (19th and 8th Ave) will not be available for use.
Drivers heading to the Tampa Pride Parade and Festival may also opt to park in Downtown Tampa or the Channel District and take the TECO Line Streetcar System to Ybor City. Streetcar service heading east on 8th Ave will not go past 17th St. and  Streetcar service north of 7th Avenue will cease beginning at 12:30 p.m., until after parade ends.
The Tampa Police Department would like to remind all parade goers to report suspicious activity. If you see something, say something. No tip is too small. Report anything suspicious to the nearest police officer or submit an anonymous tip using the TPD mobile app available on iPhones and Androids.
