Clear Channel Outdoor Donates Billboards for Ryan McCall Murder

Clear Channel Outdoor has graciously placed the reward information on the Ryan McCall murder on billboards throughout Tampa until Sunday. Ryan’s father, Kevin McCall, is available for interviews today. The Tampa Police Department still needs the public’s help in finding Ryan’s killer. There is a $50,000 reward for information leading to an arrest. Clear Channel Outdoor's continued partnership with the Tampa Police Department is helping generate tips on cases such a Ryan McCall.

Local Law Firm Puts up Large Reward in UT Murder Case

What: Winters and Yonker donate $50,000 in reward money

The reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the death of Ryan McCall, a University of Tampa student, is now at $51,000. The law firm of Winters and Yonker put up $50,000, in addition to the $1,000 Crime Stoppers reward, to help motivate individuals with information to contact police. Tampa Police Homicide detectives are confident that there are people in the community who have details about what happened to McCall and have not yet come forward. They are hoping this reward money will be the break that helps them solve this case.

VICTIM 1: Ryan P. McCall, W/M, 2/19/88, 1006 Orca St., Holiday (deceased)

VICTIM 2: Michael J. Harahan, W/M, 6/28/88, visiting from Philadelphia


The audio released is a portion of the surviving victim's voicemail on his brother's phone. He was on the phone as the robbery occurred and the suspect's voice is heard in the background while the robbery was committed. Editing will be required, as there is an expletive. Tampa Police are asking anyone who may recognize the suspect's voice to contact 813.231.6130 or Crime Stoppers 1.800.873.TIPS.

The victims were walking to a friend's house around 3 a.m. on 08/19. They left the Retreat Bar and were walking North on Boulevard. As they crossed the Boulevard Bridge, the suspect confronted them with a gun demanding money. Victim 2 ran and heard a gunshot. He ran to the friend's house and called 911. Police arrived and found victim 1 deceased.
