Commercial Robberies

11/30/15

The Tampa Police Department is currently working two commercial armed robberies which appear to be committed by the same suspects. The first robbery occurred at 9:51 p.m. at the Family Dollar located at 10220 30th Street North. Two suspects brandishing firearms entered the business and demanded money from the cashier. The suspects then fled the scene in an unknown direction or method of travel.
At 11:06 p.m. a single suspect dressed identically to one of the suspects in the Family Dollar robbery entered the Papa John's pizza located at 9340 Florida Avenue North and again brandished a firearm, this time firing a shot into the ceiling of the business before demanding money and then fleeing in an unknown direction of travel.
Detectives, Rapid Offender Control Officers and Patrol Officers are on scene conducting latent investigation at this time.
