Curtis Hixon Transforms into Winter Village Presented by USAmeriBank Ice rink, holiday shops, and waterfront cafe kicks-off the holidays in Downtown Tampa

Ribbon Cutting for 2016 Winter Village at Curtis Hixon Park Presented by USAmeriBank

Parking is available at Poe Garage. Media trucks are advised to park off West Twiggs Street at the South entrance to the park.

Official Ribbon Cutting: 4:30pm

Ice skating photo opportunities: 5:10pm

Winter Village opens to the public: 6:00pm

DETAILS:

Mayor Bob Buckhorn will be joined by presenting sponsor, Joe Taggart of USAmeriBank, and structure donor, Darcia Glazer Kassewitz of the Bucs Care Foundation, Inc., in the Ribbon Cutting of 2016 Winter Village at Curtis Hixon Park. Following the Ribbon Cutting, stay and watch the Lightning Girls and the Mayor take the first skate!

Joining in the celebration are the mascots of Tampa Bay's sports teams; Lightning Bug, Cap'n Fear, and Raymond. Cheerleaders from the Tampa Bay Lightning and Tampa Bay Buccaneers will also be spreading holiday joy during the event.
