At 4:00 pm on June 3, 2018, the Wastewater Department was notified of a leaking force main near the Davis Island Pump Station at 501 Suwanee Circle. The mainline discharged 7200 gallons of wastewater into an adjacent canal that discharged into the Davis Island Seaplane Basin and Dog Beach.  The overflow has been contained and department crews are currently collecting water samples to determine bacterial levels in the water. Warning signs have been posted restricting swimming, wading or fishing in the water until all tests are completed. We will update this advisory as new information becomes available.
