2nd Suspect Arrested in Baby Death

SUSPECT: Viviano Pinto, 1/1/1977, W/M

CHARGES: Aggravated Manslaughter

Viviano Pinto fled to Ohio after the child’s injuries. Tampa Police Detectives worked with the Lorain, Ohio Police Department in locating the suspect. The US Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrested the suspect at a family member’s house without incident. He will be booked into the Lorain County Sheriff’s Office jail. He will be transported back to Tampa sometime over the next couple of weeks.

SUSPECT (victim's mother): Anjenette Lopez, 2/5/1978, H/F, 2103 Cool Springs Road, Apt T2, Tampa

CHARGES: Aggravated Manslaughter

VICTIM: Jayden Sarria, 7/1/2011, W/M, 2103 Cool Springs Road, Apt T2,

DETAILS (as worded in the Criminal Report Affidavit CRA): On September
20th, 2012 sometime around 6 p.m., Jaden received a severe skull
fracture while in the care and custody of the suspect. During initial
interviews with the suspect, she said she believed the baby fell in the
bathtub. On September 27th, the suspect took the baby to Florida
Hospital. Doctors determined the baby had severe brain injury and the
baby was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital. On October 1st at 3:36
p.m., the baby was pronounced deceased. The Medical Examiner ruled the
baby's death a homicide as a result of blunt impact to the head.
According to a friend who saw the baby on September 21st, the injury to
the head was severe causing her to use the description "elephant
man" when describing the injury. The suspects failure to seek medical
attention contributed to the suffering and death of baby Jayden Sarris.
