Detectives Searching for Armed Robbery Suspects

WHEN: 6/1/2012, 10:53 a.m.

WHERE: Between the 400 block and 520 Floribraska Avenue, Avenue

SUSPECT: Harris, Steven, 12/20/1989, B/M, 3406 26th Street North, Tampa. On felony probation for burglary. This suspect has different colored eyes.

SUSPECT: Jackson, Bobby, 1/11/1990, B/M, 4420 Pompano Drive, Tampa. On felony probation for aggravated assault.

VICTIM: Smith, Edward 8/31/1962, B/M, 3405 East 21st Avenue

DETAILS: After the victim cashed his Social Security check, the suspects jumped out of a white Dodge Charger in the 400 block of Floribraska Avenue. They pointed guns at the victim and demanded his money. The victim ran and the suspects got in the vehicle and chased him to 520 Floribraska Avenue where they robbed him. Officers arrived on scene and advised all units in the area to be on the lookout for the white Dodge Charger. Within 10 minutes, ROC officers spotted a vehicle matching the description with a female driver. After conducting a traffic stop, officers determined Steven Harris had just turned the car over to his mother. Detectives do not believe she was involved in the crime and she is cooperating with police. Officers are now looking for the two suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call Tampa Police.
