**Update, the suspect is in custody

SUSPECT: Terrod Arrington, 12/17/1980, B/M, at large address

CHARGES: Battery, Suspect in Arson

WHERE: Animal Coalition of Tampa, 502 North Gilchrist Avenue, Tampa

DETAILS: The suspect went to the Animal Coalition of Tampa several times last week and caused disturbances in the lobby. During one of the encounters, he pushed an ACT employee. On Saturday 4/19, officers responded to an intrusion alarm at the hospital. When they arrived, they discovered a patient (dog) in the parking lot and a fire in the office. It appears the arson suspect released the dog before setting the fire. Tampa Fire Rescue responded and extinguished the blaze. Three cats died in the fire. Detectives have a warrant for the suspect's arrest for pushing the employee. He's wanted for questioning in the arson. ACT and Silverback Peace Group have offered a $6,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person who set the fire. Arrington also has a warrant for his arrest in Maryland for Aggravated Assault.
