Detectives Seeking Purse Theft Suspects
There are at least eight cases within the City of Tampa and there are multiple cases in Hillsborough County
Video from the 7/28 Radiant Gas Station theft is located at http://youtu.be/ht8qgWdDKl8. In the video you can see the suspect get out of his car, open the passenger door and take the victim’s purse.
We have a warrant for Justin Seebech, 1/22/1990, W/M in conjunction with the 7/18 purse theft at 1312 East Busch Boulevard. His warrant is for auto burglary and petit theft. Detectives believe he is working with other suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers or Tampa Police. Justin Seebech was identified through the previously released video http://youtu.be/bFUkovA7Um8.
WHEN: 7/28/2012, 9:06 p.m.
WHERE: Radiant Gas Station, 2356 West Hillsborough Avenue, Tampa
DETAILS: While the victim and her two children were standing on the driver’s side of her vehicle pumping gas, the suspect pulled up in a vehicle on the passenger’s side and took her purse from out of her car. The suspect got back into the car and fled the scene.
WHEN: 08/01/12, 6:20 p.m.
WHERE: Circle K, 1001 North Dale Mabry Highway, Tampa
DETAILS: While the victim was pumping gas, the suspect pulled up alongside her car and took her purse.
WHEN: 08/01/12, 7:05 p.m.
WHERE: Sonoco, 4155 Henderson, Tampa
DETAILS: The victim pumped her gas for no more than five minutes and went she reentered her vehicle, she noticed her purse was missing. Her passenger door was slightly opened.
Detectives Investigating Purse Burglary Pattern
Video of one of the suspects is located at http://youtu.be/bFUkovA7Um8In the video you can see the suspect drive up in a red or orange Dodge Challenger. The passenger exits the vehicle and enters the store. Detectives believe this is one of the suspects committing these crimes.

DETAIL: In each of these cases, the suspects remove the victims’ purses from their cars while they are pumping gas or enter the gas station to pay for their gas. Detectives believe they are the same suspects.
Gas station safety tips:
Never leave your keys in your car while you are pumping gas
Lock your car doors while you are pumping gas or enter the gas station
The suspects appear to be driving a late model red or orange Dodge Challenger.
