DETECTIVES WORK TO IDENTIFY FATAL HIT AND RUN SUSPECT

Location:  10000 block of N. Nebraska Ave

Incident Type:  Hit and Run/Fatality

Victim Info:  Sally Ann McClellan Webb (DOB 5/27/1960); 1415 E. 124th Avenue

Suspect Vehicle:  white older model, elevated, light colored vehicle, possibly has vinyl roof.

Details:  On June 17, the victim, later identified as Sally Ann McClellan Webb, was attempting to cross the street, eastbound, in the 10000 block of N. Nebraska Ave. Webb had walked into the northbound curb-lane when she was struck by the suspect vehicle in front of 10013 N Nebraska Ave. The driver of the suspect vehicle did not stop and render aid, instead continued northbound on N. Nebraska Ave. Officers were dispatched, found the victim unresponsive, and immediately began CPR.  Tampa Fire Rescue arrived on scene and were unable to revive Webb.  She was pronounced deceased at 9:30 PM.

Detectives are now asking for assistance from our community in identifying the vehicle used in this fatal hit and run.  The vehicle can be seen on video, entering the right side of the frame. Detectives believe the vehicle to be an older model, elevated, light-colored car, possibly with a vinyl roof.
