DOD Warrior Games Cycling Race - Sunday, June 23, 2019

Traffic is expected to be heavier than normal this Sunday around Bayshore Boulevard between W Bay to Bay Boulevard and Downtown Tampa due to the DOD Warrior Games Cycling Race. Drivers and pedestrians alike are advised to allow for extra travel time and to travel through the area with caution.

 

The race will begin on Sunday, June23rd at 8:30 a.m. and end at 11:00 a.m. The sidewalk will remain open; however, the public will not be able to cross Bayshore Boulevard between W Bay to Bay Boulevard and W Platt Street while the race is taking place.

The following streets will be closed from 4:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

  • Bayshore Boulevard between W Bay to Bay Boulevard and W Brorein Street
  • Davis Island On-Ramp from Bayshore Boulevard to the Davis Island Bridge
  • Davis Island Off-Ramp from the Davis Island Bridge to Bayshore Boulevard

The City recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.

 

The Tampa Police Department would like to remind all participants and spectators to report suspicious activity. If you see something, say something. No tip is too small. Report anything suspicious to the nearest police officer or submit an anonymous tip using the TPD mobile app available on iPhones and Androids.
