Tampa teens, their parents, and other interested individuals are invited to a FREE educational forum of religious tolerance and coexistence, an issue that directly impacts the basis of our society in the United States and Tampa Bay area. Coexist: Unity in a Divided World will be held on Wednesday, November 14 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Barksdale Adult Activity Center, 1801 North Lincoln Avenue in Macfarlane Park.

The forum is sponsored by the Mayor’s Youth Leadership Council, a program of the City of Tampa that works to allow local teens the opportunity to develop their leadership skills and apply them through various service projects and event workshops.

Panelists will speak on an array of issues and look to provide a more in depth look at the various elements of their faith. Furthermore, they will discuss how religion has been impacted by our ever-changing society and how they work to maintain the sanctity of their faith. Youth council members will interview speakers, and then the floor will be open to questions the audience may have for the panelists.

Speakers include Dr. Sridhara Sastry, Imam Hassan Sultan, Father Bruce Craig, Rabbi Ed Rosenthal, and Reverend Ginny Ellis.
