Free Swimm Lessons Available For Children

The City of Tampa Parks and Recreation Department and the Hillsborough Water Safety Team led by St. Joseph’s Hospital have teamed up to offer free swim lessons for eligible children this summer.

Vouchers for free swim lessons will be available at all city pools beginning Monday, June 11 and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis to qualified applicants. To qualify for a free swim lesson voucher, the applicant must show proof of one of the following:
  • Free or reduced school lunch
  • Food stamps
  • Medicaid, Medicare
Qualified applicants may pick up a voucher at one of the following locations:

10105 North Boulevard

Interbay Pool
4321 W. Estrella Street

Loretta Ingraham Recreation Complex
1615 N. Hubert Ave.

Spicola Family Pool
2615 Corrine St.

Sulphur Springs Pool
