Details:  To commemorate the 100th Gasparilla parade and Chief Jane Castor’s last year overseeing the security of Tampa’s signature community event, Ye Mystic Krewe and Event Fest created a unique badge for officers to wear during the Gasparilla season. The Gasparilla badge marks the 100th year that Ye Mystic Krewe and the Tampa Police Department have partnered to ensure the invasion is smooth sailing and the parade is a safe event. Officers will start wearing the badges for the Children’s Parade, January 24th , until the outbound voyage of the Jose Gasparilla II “pirate” ship on March 7th.

Rick Chambers of the Chambers Group Professional Services partnered with the City of Tampa’s  graphic designer Jeremy Rex to create the special Gasparilla badge.
