This notice is archived content and this information may no longer be accurate.

The Hyde Park and Plant Ave Safety Improvement project will begin on February 27, 2017.  The Safety project includes improvements to the concrete sidewalks and pedestrian ramps at multiple intersections along Hyde Park Avenue and Plant Avenue between Kennedy Boulevard and De Leon Street.

Intermittent lane closure(s) will occur on Hyde Park Avenue and on Plant Avenue between 9 am and 2 pm through the middle of April 2017.  At the completion of the concrete work, portions of Hyde Park Avenue and Plant Avenue from Kennedy Boulevard to De Leon Street will be paved and restriped to accommodate a bike lane and on-street parking.

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion.  Bayshore Boulevard can be used northbound when leaving Davis Islands in lieu of Plant Avenue.  For motorists traveling to Davis Islands, please allow more time to drive southbound on Hyde Park Avenue between Kennedy Boulevard and the Davis Islands bridge.
