Intermittent Lane Closures at S Willow Avenue/W Cleveland Street and S Willow Avenue/W Platt Street Intersections to begin February 19, 2018 for Traffic Maintenance
As part of Willow Avenue improvement project, there will be intermittent lane closures at the intersection of S Willow Avenue and W Cleveland Street and at the intersection of S Willow Avenue and W Platt Street on Monday, February 19, 2018. A City contractor will complete signalization work at these intersections. Lanes on S Willow Avenue, W Platt Street and the eastbound Selmon Expressway Willow Avenue off-ramp will close intermittently beginning at 10 pm on Monday, February 19, 2018.
All traffic movements will be maintained at these intersections with motorists being directed by traffic control officers during the construction, with delays.
All lanes at the intersection of S Willow Avenue and W Cleveland Street and at the intersection of S Willow Avenue and W Platt Street will reopen to traffic by 12:01 am on Tuesday, February 20, 2018, weather permitting.
The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid congestion. Northbound and southbound motorists can use S Boulevard between W Swann Avenue and W Kennedy Boulevard in lieu of S Willow Avenue. Eastbound motorists can use W Kennedy Boulevard between N Howard Avenue and S Boulevard in lieu of W Platt Street.
