Starting at 9 am on March 9, the northbound lanes on Marion Street between Laurel Street and Scott Street will be closed while department crews repair a wastewater mainline pipe.

Additionally, motorists traveling southbound on Marion Street between Kay Street and Laurel Street will merge into one (1) temporary lane and eastbound motorists on Scott Street between Florida Avenue and Morgan Street will merge into one (1) lane. Detours, barricades and signage will be located in the area to assist with rerouting and traffic flow. The completion of this repair, with a return to normal traffic patterns is expected by close of business on March 13, weather permitting.

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion.
