Starting at 9am on Tuesday, October 8, 2019, department crews will begin scheduled maintenance to clean and televise the collection system on West Waters Avenue. This work will consist of two (2) phases.
The first phase will include a moving lane closure of one (1) inside eastbound lane and one (1) inside westbound lane on West Waters Avenue between North Armenia Avenue to North Orleans Avenue. Crews will travel east as they proceed with this work. One (1) eastbound lane and one (1) westbound lane will remain open at all times, with delays. Barricades and signs will be located in the area to assist with rerouting and traffic flow.
During the second phase, crews will close the outer eastbound lane on West Waters Avenue between North Habana Avenue to North Armenia Avenue. This will also be a moving lane closure as the crews travel east. All other lanes will remain open.
The scheduled maintenance will continue between the hours of 9am-3pm through October 21, 2019, weather permitting.
The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion.
