Mayor Bob Buckhorn will rename the South Regional Parking Garage (301 Channelside Drive) in honor of Tampa’s 57th Mayor, Pam Iorio.

“The naming of this garage after my friend, Mayor Pam Iorio is a fitting tribute to one of Tampa’s most celebrated public servants,” said Mayor Bob Buckhorn. “Her eight years as Mayor provided the foundation for our downtown renaissance and the renewed emphasis on our waterfront. This garage, in the heart of the new Water Street development will be a permanent reminder of her lifelong commitment or our community.”

“This naming is an unexpected honor,” said former Mayor Pam Iorio. “I thank Mayor Buckhorn for his generous spirit and I thank the community for giving me the opportunity to serve. It has been so fulfilling to see Tampa continue to grow and prosper.”
