Mayor Buckhorn Hosts Celebration of the City of Tampa's History with Our Mayors

Mayor Bob Buckhorn host a Celebration of the City of Tampa with our Mayors on Tuesday, November 19, 2013, at 4 p.m., in the City's Courtyard between Old City Hall and the Tampa Municipal Office Building at 315 E. Kennedy Boulevard.

Mayor Buckhorn will join Mayor Greco, Mayor Freedman, Governor Martinez, and Mayor Poe for the celebration. The event, which recognizes all 126 years of history of the City of Tampa, is free and open to the public.

Several exhibits will be on display inside and outside of Old City Hall. These include the official Mayoral portraits produced by Ric Savid, Tampa's ninth Photographer Laureate; copies of The Mayors of Tampa book, which covers the history of all the mayors from Joseph Lancaster to Bob Buckhorn; a Lego replica of the block surrounding City Hall; and a Tampa Bay History Center exhibit.

A brief program will commence at 4:00 p.m. with presentations by Mayor Buckhorn. Musical entertainment will be provided by Saxophonist Sam Allen and the City of Tampa Gospel Choir.
