Top participants to receive gifts from Mayor Castor Personally.

City of Tampa’s Mayor Jane Castor will be presenting the top two participants from this summer’s Mayor Castor’s Summer Splash Down Challenge with their gift cards today. Joshua and Ryan Davidson visited Bobby Hicks pool 25 times between July 15th and August 10th, earning them the distinction of having the most visits during the challenge.

Mayor Jane Castor’s Summer Splash Down encouraged children, ages 5 years to 18 years old, to visit one of the Parks and Recreation Departments twelve pool facilities during open swim hours to be eligible for Back to School gift cards. The more times you visit a pool, the better your odds are of receiving a gift card. The top 100 youth swimmers with the most visit between July 14th and August 10th (one visit per day) received a $25 gift card.

All of the top 100 youth swimmers who participated in the challenge have been contacted and have already received their gift cards. Additionally, an extra 100 children who participated in Swim Lessons this summer were randomly selected to receive a $25 gift card as well.
