?Mayor?s Book Talk? Welcomes Author Ronald Harden - Local Architect Tells of Significant Projects that Helped to Enrich the Tampa Community

On the February episode of “Mayor’s Book Talk”, Mayor Iorio welcomes Tampa author and architect Ronald Harden. The two will discuss his book Untold Architectural Black History of Tampa, Florida: My 36-Year Architectural Career in Tampa.

The mayor’s book discussion group, fifth grade readers from Rampello Downtown Partnership School, talk about Home of the Brave by Katherine Applegate. In the book, Kek, a fifth grade student from the Sudan, relocates to Minneapolis after civil war tears his immediate family from him. In his new environment, Kek encounters both kindness and racism making life as a refugee both painful and rewarding.
