Wells Fargo will hold a joint press conference with Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn to announce the nonprofit organizations selected to receive a Local Initiative Grant as part of Wells Fargo's NeighborhoodLIFTSM program*. A total of $800,000 will be awarded to 6 local nonprofits that support homeownership and neighborhood revitalization in the City of Tampa.

Wells Fargo Regional President Carl Miller and Mayor Buckhorn, along with representatives from the selected organizations, will make brief remarks about the importance of the funding and how it will be used to create a positive impact in some of Tampa’s most distressed neighborhoods.

The local grant recipients were identified in close collaboration with the City of Tampa and Mayor Buckhorn to assist the city in five key areas: Transitional and permanent supported housing, shelter and support services for the homeless; homeownership, affordable housing construction, rehabilitation, and counseling for low- and moderate-income residents; neighborhood beautification and improvement; workforce development programs; and small and micro-business assistance.
