InVision Tampa has produced the "Issues and Opportunities Report" for the Nebraska – Hillsborough Corridor planning effort. This report represents the findings of the consultant’s research as well as the ideas and concerns expressed by citizens during the corridor charrettes and online forums regarding Nebraska and Hillsborough Avenues.
The report will be discussed at the Nebraska – Hillsborough Corridor Community Design Workshops on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 and Thursday, May 2, 2013 where the community is invited to help build a new plan for the future of the corridor.

Mayor Buckhorn and urban planners from AECOM will present highlights from the "Issues and Opportunities Report" and discuss the report with members of the community.

Middleton High School Gallery: 5:30 PM

At 5:30 p.m., Mayor Bob Buckhorn will meet with Middleton High School students who adopted a specific area of the Nebraska-Hillsborough and collaborated with the InVision Tampa team to analyze street, transit, stormwater, parks and green networks, and cultural frameworks.
The interactive work session begins at 6 p.m. This is where the community can reflect on the report and further develop ideas on how to make the Nebraska Avenue and Hillsborough Avenue a better place to live, play, and do business.

After Tuesday's interactive workshop, planners from AECOM and the City of Tampa will discuss ideas on how to achieve the vision expressed by the community for the Nebraska -- Hillsborough Corridor.

Using federal grant dollars, InVision Tampa will create a master plan for the City Center of Tampa, Fla., spanning from downtown to Ybor City on the east, Armenia Avenue on the west, and north along historic Nebraska Avenue to Hillsborough Avenue.
