MEDIA ADVISORY - PHOTO OPPORTUNITY - Mayor Buckhorn to Give State of the City Address at Armature Works in Historic Tampa Heights

Mayor Bob Buckhorn will give his third State of the City Address inside the Armature Works Building in historic Tampa Heights on Tuesday, March 25, 2014.

The event is free and open to the public.

After the event, the media and the public are invited to tour the progress happening at Water Works Park, a short distance from the Armature Works Building. The City of Tampa is currently renovating Water Works Park and restoring Ulele Spring, and in addition, Richard Gonzmart is transforming the Water Works Building, one of Tampa’s original water pumping stations built in 1903, into Ulele, a restaurant and brewery serving unique foods and spirits by fusing elements from a rich variety of Native American and multicultural cuisines. The park and restaurant are scheduled to open in the next few months. Both investments, along with The Heights Development, are key in transforming historic Tampa Heights and connecting the neighborhood to downtown Tampa.
