MEDIA ADVISORY - PHOTO OPPORTUNITY - Mayor Buckhorn Hosts Third Annual Mayor's River O'Green Saturday
Mayor Bob Buckhorn hosts the third annual Mayor's River O'Green Fest this Saturday, March 15, 2014. The City of Tampa will transform the Hillsborough River into a vibrant, kelly green between Cass Street Bridge and Kennedy Bridge.
The event, as well as its entertainment and activities, are free and open to the public; however, that will not include vendor items.
The 13th Annual Bolt Run presented by vitaminwater® will take place earlier in the morning on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at the Tampa Bay Times Forum. This year's St. Patrick's Day themed event will also offer a discounted beer coupon to redeem at the Mayor’s River O’Green. For more information about the Bolt Run, please visit the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Finally, in the spirit of St. Patrick, any attendee who brings three non-perishable food items will receive a green "Saint Patrick's Army" shirt provided by the Salvation Army. All donations will benefit the Salvation Army and provide support for those in need.
