Crews will test dye a small portion of the Hillsborough River in preparation for the 2015 Mayor’s River O’Green on Tuesday, March 10, 2015. Speak with Public Works and Utility Administrator Brad Baird about the logistics that go into this event, including monitoring tidal flows. Presenting sponsor Grow Financial will also be on-hand to discuss this community, family-friendly event.

On Saturday, March 14, 2015, Mayor Bob Buckhorn will host the fourth annual Mayor’s River O’Green, and in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day, crews will dye the Hillsborough River kelly green between Cass Street Bridge and Kennedy Bridge. The dye is potable water grade, non-toxic, and biodegradable; it’s used primarily to trace leaks and in search and rescue efforts in large bodies of water.
