On 03-23-17 at approximately 12:53am, Tampa Police Officers responded to 401 Frederick H. Spaulding Drive (University of Tampa) in reference to a suspicious cardboard box that was left on top of a garbage can by an unknown person. The Tampa Police Department's Bomb Team responded and determined the box was empty. There is no danger at this time. In an abundance of caution, Smiley Hall (dormitory) was evacuated during the investigation. All students returned to their dorm rooms and the scene is now clear.
