Missing Tampa Man with Dementia Found Safe in Pinellas County
Alfredo Fernandez, the 85-year-old with dementia who drove away from his home yesterday, was found safe last night in Pinellas County. Pinellas County deputies located the missing man at a Mobil gas station near North 49th Street and Ulmerton Road. Fernandez's family met the deputies at the gas station and took him home.

Vehicle: 2009 blue 4-door Kia, Florida Tag # 188TSQ
Tampa Police officers throughout the city are searching for 85-year-old Alfredo Fernandez who is currently under a physician's care for dementia. Fernandez drove away from his West Tampa apartment this morning at around 9:40 a.m. in a 2009 blue 4-door Kia. At this time, he has not returned home or made contact with any of his family members who are concerned about his welfare.
A statewide Silver Alert was issued for Fernandez.
