Movies in the Parks Schedule Announced

The City of Tampa Parks & Recreation and Friends of Tampa Recreation, Inc. (FOTR) have teamed together and are pleased to announce a series of free, family-fun films at Water Works Park this Spring.     

What:              Movies in the Park
Where:            Water Works Park, 1710 N. Highland Avenue
When:             Saturday, April 8, 15, 22 & 29
Start Times:    Movies start at 8 p.m., seating begins at 7 p.m.
Admission:      Always Free!

April 22           “Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax”, PG
April 29           “The Wizard of Oz”, G

Come on out and join us in watching some good family entertainment on these cool spring nights in an open-air environment, overlooking the Hillsborough River. Cool down, cozy-up and sink in.  Admission is free!  Patrons should bring low-back lawn chairs or blankets for seating.

The Tampa Parks & Recreation’s Teens Leading Change (TLC) will be selling popcorn, candy and drinks to raise funds for program activities and field trips. The Original Westshore Pizza Truck and Whatever Pops will also be on site each.  Picnics and leashed dogs allowed.

Movies in the Park is a community event produced by the City of Tampa Parks & Recreation Department in conjunction with the Friends of Tampa Recreation, Inc. and takes place on Saturdays in April and October at Water Works Park. Promotional partners include Tampa Bay Times/tbt, Magic 94.9 and News Channel 8.
