Mr. Jorge Pérez – Founder and Chairman of The Related Group to speak at 18th Annual City of Tampa Mayor’s Latinos Unidos Luncheon and Scholarship Fundraiser.
The City of Tampa Mayor’s Hispanic Advisory Council is pleased to announce its keynote speaker for the 2016 Latinos Unidos Luncheon, Jorge Pérez. This is the 18th anniversary of the luncheon and a milestone for Tampa Bay Hispanics to be proud of, as the proceeds from this event will go towards funding the City of Tampa Mayor’s Hispanic Advisory Council scholarship programs at various institutions of higher education in Tampa including University of Tampa, University of South Florida, and Hillsborough Community College. The luncheon will take place at Noon on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at the Hilton Downtown Tampa.
Every year, the Latinos Unidos Luncheon brings together Tampa Bay area Hispanics in an effort to promote the cultural and financial influence Latinos have in our communities. The annual event also showcases the rising influence and economic impact of Hispanics in our Tampa Bay area, our state, and nation. Leaders from the corporate or non-profit world are invited as keynote speakers. This year, we welcome Jorge M. Pérez, founder and Chairman of The Related Group, the nation’s leading developer of multi-family residences. In August of 2005, TIME Magazine named Mr. Pérez one of top 25 most influential Hispanics in the United States. Under his direction, The Related Group and its affiliates have redefined the South Florida landscape.
