New Tampa Recreation Center Expansion Ceremony

The City of Tampa Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to announce the groundbreaking ceremony for the New Tampa Recreation Center Expansion project. The ceremony will take place on Friday, April 12, 2019 at 10 am at the New Tampa Recreation Center, located at 17302 Commerce Park Blvd. Tampa, FL 33647. The expansion project will include the construction of a 7,476 sq. ft. addition to the existing center. The new addition will include a 60’ x 30’ Training Box with retractable batting cages, 50’ x 40’ dedicated preschool gym, 50’ x 40’ multipurpose dance room with moveable partitions, and 6 additional accessible restrooms. The total cost for the expansion is $2.6M and the construction completion date is scheduled for February 2020. The architect is FleischmanGarcia Architecture – Planning – Interior Design and the contractor is Phinazee & Granger Construction Inc.
