New Year’s Day Holiday Solid Waste Collection Schedule

 The collection schedule for City of Tampa customers with regularly scheduled collection day on Thursday, January 1, 2015 will be affected by the New Year’s Day holiday. The modified holiday collection schedule is as follows:

  • Residential: There will be no garbage, yard-waste recycling, or blue-box/green cart recycling collection on Thursday, January 1, 2015. A make-up collection for residential customers with service normally scheduled for Thursday will take place on Friday, January 2. Collection for residential customers with service normally scheduled for Friday, January 2, will take place on Saturday, January 3. Normal service schedules for residential customers will resume on Monday, January 5, 2015.
  • Commercial: Commercial accounts scheduled for service on Thursday, January 1 will be serviced on Friday, January 2. Collection will run one day behind for the remainder of the week. Normal collection schedules will resume Monday, January 5, 2015.
  • McKay Bay Transfer Station/Scale House will be closed on New Year’s Day. Normal schedule will resume on Friday, January 2, 2015.

The City of Tampa Christmas tree collection service will run Monday, December 29, 2014 through Friday, January 2, 2015. Residents are asked to remove all decorations and lights, cut tree limbs to four feet lengths, bundle, and place at curbside on their regularly scheduled yard waste collection day.
