At 0825hrs District III ROC officers interrupted an Auto Burglary in-progress in the area of N. 49th St and E. 26th Ave. Five males fled on foot into the surrounding neighborhood upon police arrival. The responding officers through a coordinated effort captured four of the five suspects almost immediately. The fifth suspect eluded capture but was thought to be in the attic of a nearby residence. Intelligence gathered at the scene led the officers to believe the suspect may be armed. A Tactical Response Team (TRT) callout was initiated to clear the suspected residence. A thorough search was conducted and the suspect was not located within the house. The search operation was concluded but the investigation continues.
