Santa’s Bike Shop is open! Every year, hundreds of eager volunteers come together as a family to open boxes and turn screws to hand-assemble all the bikes that onbikes will donate to at-risk and foster kids this holiday season. Amalie Arena is transformed into Santa’s Bike Shop for a truly festive and unique opportunity to give back to our community. The Bike Build precedes onbikes’ 9th Annual Winter Wonder Ride on December 14th at Curtis Hixon Park. The annual event cycles through scenic downtown Tampa, out alongside Bayshore Boulevard, before returning to the park for an incredible Post-Ride Celebration featuring headliner and 3-time Grammy winner CeeLo Green.

Community Partners/Bike recipients in attendance:

Children’s Cancer Center: For the 3rd year in a row, onbikes will supply the Children’s Cancer Center with 100 new bikes for their Holiday Adoption Program, a program designed to help decrease the stress and anxiety associated with the holiday season for families who are coping with a medical crisis.

Metropolitan Ministries: Each year, onbikes supplies Metropolitan Ministries with hundreds of bikes for their holiday tent. Food, toys, and prayer are offered to those in desperate need during the holiday season. Onbikes is there to grant children in need their wish for a brand new bike.

Tampa Police Department: Every year, onbikes donates hundreds of bikes to TPD who then distribute them to children in need, helping to build relationships with members of the community while also teaching children the importance of bike safety through the hosting bike rodeos.

Big Brothers Big Sisters: onbikes will work with BBBS to provide bikes for “Bigs” and “Littles” to build together, helping to create a bond while providing each “little” with their first brand new bicycle.

Onbikes mission: Onbikes is a local non-profit organization that builds and donates new bicycles and helmets to at-risk and foster kids throughout the Tampa Bay community. Onbikes aims to build a healthy, sustainable community, one bike at a time. Because every kid deserves a bike.
