Starting at 9 am on April 14, portions of North West Shore Boulevard between West Spruce Street and West Union Street will close while department crews repair a manhole ring and cover. Traffic from the Westshore Mall will be reduced to one (1) thru lane leaving the outside (curb) lane open to continue south across West Spruce Street. One (1) left turn lane of West Spruce Street that turns south onto North West Shore is closing. The two (2) left turn lanes of northbound traffic on North West Shore will be reduced to one (1) turn lane, leaving the outside turn lane open. Additionally, the inside turn lane of W Boy Scout Boulevard onto N West Shore Boulevard will be closed.

Barricades and signs will be located in the area to assist with rerouting and traffic flow. This closure will remain in effect through close of business on April 17, 2020, weather permitting.

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion. A hi-resolution map showing the work area and the City of Tampa’s suggested detour is embedded below.
