Partial Road Closure of Sligh Avenue for Emergency Repair to a Sewer Force Main Pipe

Tampa, FL (October 23, 2017) – Effective immediately, Sligh Avenue between 56th Street and Harney Road is closed while department crews begin emergency repairs to a broken 16” sewer force main pipe. Detours are in place to direct traffic around the closed section of road and work site. This area will reopen to traffic by October 27, 2017, weather permitting. The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion.
