Chief Dugan will meet up with Gasparilla pirates who are trading in their beads for turkeys this holiday season to help provide meals for families in the Sulphur Springs community. Members of the Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla will arrive at the R.I.C.H. House on a festive float filled with turkeys. Tampa Police officers will lead the invasion through the neighborhood and help the pirates unload their Thanksgiving treasure. The turkeys, which were donated by the Samaha family of Hyde Park, will provide approximately 160 underprivileged residents living in Sulphur Springs with an essential staple to celebrate a traditional Thanksgiving dinner.

The Tampa Police officers who operate the neighborhood's R.I.C.H. House identified 40 economically challenged households that were in dire need of food for Thanksgiving. These families will receive their turkeys at the event.
